The Ordinary’s Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA
- This was my first THE ORDINARY product to ever try, and while I have since moved on to try (and love) other THE ORIDINARY products, for me, this serum unfortunately did not work for me at all. I tried it first with a small patch test on my chin and had a horrible allergic reaction to it so I gave it a few weeks and tried it again, this time switching out some of my products that I knew agreed with my skin. The directions say to use it both AM and EVE as apart of your skincare regime but unfortunately for me this just did NOT want to agree with my skin no matter how often I tried(which was a few times). Clearly this just did NOT mix well with my skin type(oily/acne prone), so I had to toss this.
St. Ive’s Yaaas Face Mist in Happy Grapefruit, Zing! Face Mist in Energizing Orange and Ohmmmm Face Mist in Relaxing Lavender
-I was a huge St. Ive’s fan growing up(I, like everyone else loved their face scrubs), so when I saw that they came out with these face mists, I snagged all three and gave them a whirl.
The directions say to use them as a misting spray after makeup or on the go through out the day but personally I used these a bit differently.
I loved to use the Grapefruit as a midday pick up.
The Orange mist was a perfect way to start my morning.
The lavender mist was the last step in my nighttime routine right before I wound down for bed and would always set the tone for a peaceful night’s sleep.
Overall I loved using these mists and would recommend giving them a try and getting creative with how you use them!
MILK Makeup Hydro Grip Setting & Refreshing Spray
-Okay, so I’m no stranger to MILK makeup products. When I saw that they came out with this (now viral/trending) setting spray, I like everyone else was influenced by social media and decided to give it a try. I played it safe and got the travel sized one and to be completely honest… im so glad I did because me and this setting spray were just not vibing the way I wanted to.
I have oily/acne prone skin and for me this setting spray did not set my makeup at all. The directions say to shake well and set face as usual. This is not my first rodeo and I have gone THROUGH it when trying to find the right setting spray to keep my makeup in place and my face matte and in tact. HOWEVER, this spray just left me oily—literally. It didnt matter how much I shook it or how little or much I sprayed! I sooo wanted to love this setting spray like the rest of the influencer girlies but for me—it just didn’t give what I wanted and needed so this is a pass for me. I do however think if you’re on the dry side and love that refreshed glow and feel to your makeup this is PERFECT for ya, but for me—Hydro Grip is a drip👎🏾
