Elf Cosmetics Haul 2018: Reviews & First Impressions[All New Products!]

If it seems like e.l.f. Cosmetics has been releasing new products left and right it's because...they have!
I have said this many times before but e.l.f. cosmetics is hands down one of my all-time favorite beauty brands ever! The fact that they are so affordable is just a plus. I've been riding with e.l.f. since they only sold $1 products and since then, I've seen them launch several different lines under the brand, makeup brushes that are bomb.com, an amazing skincare line, and tons of beauty and makeup accessories. I love the innovation and evolution of the brand and will definitely continue to use and recommend their products to clients and friends.

Right before the New Year I was able to snag a ton of new goodies online and placed my order right away. Since then e.l.f. has dropped a couple of new goodies that I can't wait to go back for, and as soon as I get them, I'll come back and give you glammies my first impressions and reviews on those. For now, here's my first impressions and reviews on the goodies I snagged in my latest haul.
Be sure to leave a comment if you tried any of the products I mentioned and what you thought of it, I'd love to hear!

Eyes

What it is: This multi-dimensional liquid glitter is perfect for use as a highlighter, eyeshadow, eyeliner, or lip color for an instant pop of glitter on the skin. This glitter gel can be worn alone or on top of existing products to transform any matte or glossy texture to a sparkling metallic finish.

Reviews & Impressions: When I first heard of these gels I saw it watching a Kathleen Lights video, and she had recently hauled them. She said it was promising, so I decided to give it a try, and I have to say, I really like it. I got the shades Rose Gold and Glitter Bronze. When I used these as toppers as opposed to all over the lid alone, it really made my eyes pop. I like that the glitter and sparkle aren't overwhelming, but it subtly peaked through. I will say though that because this is a gel if you are going to layer it on top of a powder shadow, it will move and may take off some of the color. For me, I found that it applied best using light tap motions with a tiny flat detail brush. You can also use the gel applicator they sell on their site.

What it is: This lightweight formula quickly absorbs into skin and preps eyeshadow keeping it from creasing. Use it for a more vibrant and long-lasting eye look with every use.

Reviews & Impressions: I was really excited to use and try this eye primer and was especially excited that it came in a darker shade. I have been looking for a brown lid primer for so long and was super excited to try and use this one, in the shade Cocoa. The primer easily blends into my eyes and smoothes & preps it for shadow.

What it is: This no budge, creamy metallic eyeshadow features a long-lasting formula that helps avoid smudging, smearing, and creasing. The smooth formula glides on smoothly and flawlessly.  The included sharpener allows you to sharpen the tip to use as an eyeliner or sharpen after everyday use.

Reviews & Impressions: I really liked these shadow sticks and think they are nicely pigmented, creamy, long lasting, and they apply very smoothly. I like to use these as eyeshadow bases so when I got the shades Bronze Metal & Metallic Mocha, they really emphasized the powder shadows I applied on top of them.

Lips

What it is: This Liquid Matte Lipstick achieves a long lasting, gorgeous matte finish. The formula is enriched with Vitamin E to help nourish and condition the lips. The slim, diamond-shaped applicator gives you flawless application in just one stroke!

Reviews & Impressions: I was so, SO excited when I found out e.l.f. was releasing matte liquid lipsticks and could not wait to try these babies out. I got four shades: Red Vixen, Black Out, Vampy Violet, & Coffee. I have to say after testing all four shades I have my thoughts and views on each of them individually and they all wore a bit differently on me. I may come back and do a more in-depth review because I do have a bit more things to say on these. I overall like the liquid lipsticks, I do think they could use some improvements and would love to see them come out with even more colors(right now they have 11 in total), but for the price point, these aren't too bad. I like that you get a nice amount of product, and I like the applicator on these as well. They do dry down completely matte after a few seconds, so you don't have to wait too long to apply another layer if needed and these feel SUPER lightweight on the lips which was definitely a big plus for me.

Face

What it is: Get long-lasting makeup wear with this makeup "gripper" while hydrating and refreshing your skin. The silicone-free formula is like glue for your makeup. The formula starts out tacky but melts into the skin creating a perfectly primed canvas for smooth makeup application.

Reviews & Impressions: I have to say that out of everything that I hauled this was the one thing I just could not get down with. I did do a bit of research and had read reviews, so I knew to expect it to be tacky and sticky. I used it a few times and with different foundations but it just did not work for me at all! For one, I have oily skin, and this left my skin incredibly shiny! I figured that it'll dry down but it unfortunately never did. Also, it wasn't the easiest to apply foundation on top of this because the texture of the "glue" left my face soooo sticky. I expected some tackiness, but it literally felt like glue, so applying foundation was a big struggle. Also, when I did apply my foundation, it came out uneven because the stickiness of the primer made it hard to blend.

What it is: This color correcting highlighting pen targets skin concerns to help neutralize imperfections.

Reviews & Impressions: I was super excited to try out this highlighter pen and was very pleased with it. I was familiar with e.l.f's color correctors and had hauled them before, so when I found out they came out with cream corrector in pen form, I was hyped to try it. I think for $6 this works pretty decent to color correct my dark spots and cancel out any pigmentation(I got the orange shade) and I consider this a decent alternative to more pricer color correcting pens. I will say though that I was disappointed in the size of the pen and would have liked it to be a bit bigger and have more product.
