I don't know if it's the "New Yawker" in me but not only is my closet filled with black clothes, but black bags and shoes too! I just think black really is such a classic color that goes with pretty much anything and looks good on anyone. Here's a quick "Black Shoe" inspi board I created using Polyvore where I show you some classic and trendy shoe options of the classic color.
