Evelyn Lozada's got E by Evelyn. Lala's got her Motives, and now pop singer Rihanna is joining the latest mogulette trend with her own makeup line.
The "Stay" singer announced on her 25th birthday last week that she has partnered with MAC Cosmetics to launch her own collections with the makeup company, appropriately titled "The RiRi Hearts Collection."
According to WWD (Women's Wear Daily), the four collections she has signed on for will each center around a signature shade of red lipstick called RiRi Woo.
According to reports, the first collection will be released in May to coincide with Rihanna's tour. The second collection will debut in summer, the third will drop in the fall, and the fourth will be a special holiday line arriving in December.
WWD also stated that unlike previous MAC celebrity collaborators,"Rihanna is being considered a 'creative partner' with longterm potential."
Rihanna apparently called the deal with MAC a "no-brainer" and had this to say on the partnership:
When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for something legit — is MAC. Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.
