Dream a little dream

When you were little, and you were in class and your teacher asked you to close your eyes and envision something, what did you see?

The other day as I was pondering my future, I reverted back to that very old technique.

As I shift transitionally from one phase of my life to another, constant thoughts of my future are always on my mind.

Where will I be in 5 years?

What will I be doing?

Where will I be living?

What car will be driving?

Will I be married?

Will I be happy?

Will I be satisfied?

Will I be accomplished?

As these questions continued to flood my mind and feel overwhelming, I found a great way to focus it all.

First, I answered each question and wrote down my answer going into as much detail as possible.

Then, based on my answers I produced a visual. So for what job I would have, I drew a picture of a teacher(me in a fabulous Chanel suit to match). For my car, I found a picture, printed it out and put it all on one sheet of paper.

And finally I made sure that once my picture collage was complete that I put it in some place I could see it.

Its important to practice this exercise as often as you can.

Thought is the first step, a visual is the second, action is the third, persistence and determination is the fourth and accomplishment is last.

By putting all your goals out there, you are one step ahead towards becoming fulfilled and emotionally and mentally happy.

Give it a try.

When you close your eyes, what do you see?
