Surviving a Bad Day 101

Bad days or "bad moments", as I like to call them, are inevitable.

Everybody has several bad moments in their lifetimes. It is the one thing that is universal across the world.

After this past week, I not only had a bad moment or two, I had a bad WEEK!

Any and everything that could possibly go wrong-did!
I had no time to even grasp how badly things were getting because I was constantly on the move and falling behind on everything!

Now, I don't know about you all but for me, when I have had a bad moment or two there are a couple of things I like to do.

Like most tough situations, when you' re faced with adversity or setbacks that encompass a bad day, it is best to try and stick to alternatives to keep you mentally happy and healthy.

Not following?

OK, basically whenever you are having a bad moment or two or twelve, the best way to weather the storm is to have a list of things that you KNOW will cheer you up.

Here is my list (in no particular order):
1.Watching Audrey Hepburn movies like Breakfast at Tiffany's or Sabrina
2.Eating a really good piece of chocolate....ok, ok, eating any type of chocolate.
3.Drinking Sparkling Cider and listening to jazz (without my t.v., computer or cell phone on!)
4. Dancing
5. Coloring and doing arts and crafts

See how simple it is?

Now, think of the things that cheer you up- the key is that it has to be CONSTRUCTIVE (drinking, smoking, and shopping only make you broke and sick) and it has to make you happy.
The key is to do things that you enjoy where you don't have to think really of anything. A destressing activity(like for me-coloring) or something that relaxes you and puts you in a good frame of mind ( drinking sparking cider and jazz).

Now go write your list and the next time life gets the best of you, whip it out and do something to destress!
