What I loved so much about Jackie Kennedy was that she not only projected that image while she was in the White House but outside of and following her years in the White House.
Jackie was a woman who WAS graceful ,classy, intelligent, sophisticated, and stylish. It wasn't pretend or fake or "an image".
Her style while she was in the White House became a common vocal point of discussion.
Pillbox hats,colorful peacoats, form fitting dresses, white gloves, and oversized round sunglasses were all common "Jackie staples". She made it a point to have all her clothes altered and fitted, stuck to A -line dresses and slimming silhouettes, and worked well will jewelry and accessories. Her hair was always coiffed to perfection.
What I like so much about Jackie Kennedy's style is that with each ensemble she wore, she wore it with confidence, class, grace and...a smile.
